Basketball Recap: San Juan Takes a Loss

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Woodland Christian Cardinals 84-32. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-21.

Romello Bruhn was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 15 on his way to 34 points and three steals for Woodland Christian. Bruhn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 45 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Cole Haines, who posted eight points along with three steals and three blocks.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Woodland Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

San Juan has already played their next contest (against Golden Sierra), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Woodland Christian has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Rio Vista.
