Volleyball Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

If Compton was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cabrillo on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tarbabes came up short against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jackrabbits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-3, 25-7, 25-5.

Compton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Long Beach Poly, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Compton will welcome Lakewood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tarbabes are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Long Beach Poly, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cabrillo at 5:30 p.m.
