Softball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short

Saint Ignatius College Prep lost against Oak Park-River Forest back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolfpack came up short against the Huskies, falling 13-7. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sophia Fredericks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilliana Lynch, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Oak Park-River Forest, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Ignatius College Prep will square off against DePaul College Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they will host Nazareth Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Roadrunners' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Huskies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
