With a playoff win on the line, Limon rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Wray Eagles as they made off with a 42-21 victory. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jacob Jaklich was his usual excellent self, rushing for 223 yards and five scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 rushing yards. Camdyn Tacha was another key back, rushing for 70 yards and one TD.

Limon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Wray to a completion percentage of just 45.2%. The Badgers have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.58 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.58 in their last three games.

Wray's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Collins, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 178 yards and a pair of TDs. The Eagles' leading receiver Aaron Tena was Collins' top target yet again, picking up 125 receiving yards and one score.

Limon's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.6 points on average over those games. As for Wray, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Limon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-10 win against Buena Vista on the 29th. Wray does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
