Bowie entered their tilt with Detroit on Tuesday with 15 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 16. They really took it to the Detroit Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-20 victory. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 651st, while the Eagles are ranked 1385th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bowie has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points per game. As for Detroit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-18.

Bowie will venture away from home to square off against North Hopkins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Detroit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
