Basketball Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Stockbridge Tigers
M.L. King had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 64-49 bruising from the Stockbridge Tigers. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.
Despite the loss, M.L. King still got an impressive performance from Ronald K Collins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, K Collins also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2023. Emontae Gourdine was another key player, scoring 13 points.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. M.L. King will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Collins Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockbridge, they will welcome Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
