Baseball Recap: A.L. Brown Comes Up Short

A.L. Brown came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Cabarrus Wolverines by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The Wonders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 12-5.

A.L. Brown's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for West Cabarrus, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11 record.

Looking ahead, A.L. Brown will venture away from home to face off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.16 runs per game on average), something the Wonders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Cabarrus, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hickory Ridge at 6:30 p.m.
