Volleyball Recap: North Oldham's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Oldham came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the South Oldham Dragons 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-10.

North Oldham was led to victory by Ashlyn Thompson and Marley Edwards. Thompson had 14 digs and four assists, while Edwards had nine digs. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Annalise Austin also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-6. As for South Oldham, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, North Oldham will take on Mater Dei in a tournament on Friday. As for South Oldham, they will host Male at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
