Football Game Preview: Eastern Hancock Royals vs. Union County Patriots

The Eastern Hancock Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Union County Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Eastern Hancock is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lapel just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the Bulldogs. While the Royals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 6-0 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, Eastern Hancock got top-tier performance from Mark Kube, who rushed for 83 yards and one TD, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and one score.

Eastern Hancock didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Manship and Hayden Jackson.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Union County's offense. They were dealt a 63-0 loss at the hands of Tri on Friday. The Patriots have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Eastern Hancock, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Eastern Hancock strolled past Union County in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 27-13. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
