Recap: Moffat County Bulldogs vs. Aspen Skiers
The Moffat County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The game between Moffat County and Aspen wasn't particularly close, with Moffat County falling 67-52. While losing is never fun, Moffat County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Aspen is ranked 31st).
When it comes to explaining why Moffat County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryant Carlson. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Ian Champ hafey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Aspen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tommy Franceschi out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Seeman, who scored six points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Moffat County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Aspen, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
