Football Game Preview: Albemarle Patriots vs. Fluvanna County Flying Flucos + How To Watch

Albemarle has gone 9-1 against Fluvanna County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will take on the Flying Flucos at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Albemarle took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 33-21 win over Monticello.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albemarle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Epperly, who threw for 229 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. Epperly has become a key player for the Patriots: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Albemarle's leading receiver Ladonte Chapman was Epperly's top target yet again, picking up 126 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They skirted past the Bulldogs 24-21.

Albemarle's record now sits at 4-5. As for Fluvanna County, their record is now 6-3.

Albemarle couldn't quite get it done against Fluvanna County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 15-7. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
