There's no place like home for DeMatha, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Springdale Prep Lions with a sharp 77-57 victory on Friday. The Stags have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeMatha to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Wallace, who went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points along with five assists and five steals. Those 17 points gave Wallace a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton (Ace) Meeks, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 23 points.

Wallace wasn't the only one working in the assists department: DeMatha was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springdale Prep only posted eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Springdale Prep lost, don't look at Elijah Mobley. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. The game was Mobley's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kisean Robinson, who put up 13 points and six rebounds.

DeMatha pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Springdale Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-6.

DeMatha has already played their next contest, a 74-62 defeat against Gonzaga on the 26th. As for Springdale Prep, they will face off against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Springdale Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
