Football Recap: Weiser Skates Past Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weiser). They claimed a resounding 62-14 win over the Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos. With the Wolverines ahead 36-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Ty Cobb and Cole Ingle. Cobb rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries while Ingle rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Those 120 rushing yards gave Cobb a new career-high. Brendan Youngberg was another key player, rushing for 25 yards and a pair of scores.

Weiser was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 401 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Weiser didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wyatt Black and Shayd Crossley.

The victory got Weiser back to even at 2-2. As for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
