Football Game Preview: Maple Grove vs. Cattaraugus-Little Valley

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Maple Grove. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Cattaraugus-Little Valley at 7:00 PM. Maple Grove will be strutting in after a win while Cattaraugus-Little Valley will be stumbling in from a loss.

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Maple Grove, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 49-22 margin over Salamanca.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 12-54, which was the final score in Cattaraugus-Little Valley's tilt against Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama last Saturday. Cattaraugus-Little Valley were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-41.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley's defeat took them down to 1-2 while Maple Grove's victory pulled them up to 2-1. A win for Cattaraugus-Little Valley would reverse both their bad luck and Maple Grove's good luck.
