Baseball Game Preview: Hobbs Eagles vs. Cleveland Storm

The Hobbs Eagles will head out to face off against the Cleveland Storm at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

Hobbs is leaving town to face Cleveland after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Hobbs took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Lunas on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Hobbs got a good showing from Chase Brister, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Meanwhile, Cleveland beat Clovis 8-4 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.

Hobbs came up short against Cleveland when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 14-9. Can Hobbs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
