Basketball Game Preview: Jordan-Matthews Jets vs. Phoenix Academy Firebirds + How To Watch

The Jordan-Matthews Jets are taking a road trip to challenge the Phoenix Academy Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jordan-Matthews can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They fell just short of Lee County by a score of 42-39. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Makayla Martin, who posted 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zuri Nava, who had six points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Academy strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 70-27 victory over Surry HomeSchool.

Jordan-Matthews took a serious blow against Phoenix Academy when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-19. Can the Jets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
