Basketball Recap: Zoie Cameron's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Providence Christian Academy over Banks County

Providence Christian Academy lost against Banks County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Providence Christian Academy Storm took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Banks County Leopards.

Providence Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zoie Cameron, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sazy Cantrell, who put up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Providence Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Banks County, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Christian Academy will take on Athens Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Banks County, they will square off against Elbert County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Banks County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Elbert County likes a good challenge.
