Basketball Recap: Maple Heights Takes a Loss

Maple Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 63-42 to the Mayfield Wildcats. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Maple Heights still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Dillard, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Wright, who posted seven points and five boards.

Maple Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mayfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Maple Heights will venture away from home to take on Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mayfield, they will host Bedford at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
