Baseball Recap: Rancho Buena Vista Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Rancho Buena Vista won the last time they faced Fallbrook and things went their way on Thursday too. The Longhorns had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Longhorns have posted against the Warriors since March 23, 2018.

Ty Lowry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rancho Buena Vista is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Anthony Fanelli was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Rancho Buena Vista's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Fallbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Rancho Buena Vista will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
