League recap: Canfield climbs in state rankings

Canfield moved up to 288 from 369 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in All-American - National. The Cardinals were able to move up by topping McKinley 70-62.

Poland Seminary extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Struthers, 31-28. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bulldogs.

Hubbard's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brennan Wassil has thrown for 438 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Darnell Tate has 14 catches for 207 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Howland takes on Poland Seminary. The Tigers are currently in fourth, while Mark Brungard's team is in first.

Hubbard took down Brookfield 54-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
