Basketball Recap: Luca Sarnowska and Owen Calvert Secure Win for Calvary Day School

Calvary Day School won the last time they faced Fayetteville Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars strolled past the Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 80-64. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Calvary Day School was led to victory by Owen Calvert and Luca Sarnowska. Calvert dropped a double-double with 36 points and ten rebounds, while Sarnowska posted 21 points and eight boards. The matchup was Calvert's 21st in a row with at least 16 points. Caleb Autry was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christopher Wooten, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Wooten now owns an excellent 45.8% shooting accuracy. Tracy Dixon also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Calvary Day School's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fayetteville Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Calvary Day School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 95-89 loss against Fayetteville Academy on the 18th. As for Fayetteville Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-59 defeat against Grace Christian on the 18th.
