Basketball Recap: Hollis-Brookline Takes a Loss

On Sunday, the Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-51 to the Shawsheen Valley Tech Rams. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hollis-Brookline's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hollis-Brookline will host Plymouth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hollis-Brookline is facing Plymouth at the right time seeing as Plymouth is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Shawsheen Valley Tech, they will square off against Lowell Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Shawsheen Valley Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
