Softball Recap: Big Sandy Takes a Loss

Big Sandy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Alba-Golden Panthers, falling 18-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on Tuesday.

Big Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Alba-Golden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11-1 record this season.

Big Sandy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alba-Golden, they will challenge Como-Pickton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine games.
