Basketball Game Preview: Arlington Eagles vs. Jackson Timberwolves

The Arlington Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Jackson Timberwolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Arlington didn't have too much trouble with Kamiak as they won 77-58. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Knights are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jackson entered their tilt with Newport - Bellevue on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Knights, posting a 64-37 victory.

Arlington is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Arlington didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jackson in their previous matchup on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arlington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
