Football Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Lowell + How To Watch

Lowell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Zeeland West Dux 36-34. This was payback for the Red Arrows, who suffered a 36-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lowell's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Putnam, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 110 yards on only six passes. Marek Pullen was another key rusher, rushing for 106 yards and one score on only ten carries.

When it comes to explaining why Zeeland West lost, don't look at Brandon Holman. Despite the final result, he rushed for 170 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, Holman is now averaging an impressive 103.2 rushing yards per game.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Lowell, bringing their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Zeeland West, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Lowell will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Oilers' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Red Arrows' offense will have their work cut out for them. Zeeland West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
