Basketball Game Preview: Hoover Buccaneers vs. Collierville Dragons

Having just played yesterday, the Hoover Buccaneers will jump right back in to play the Collierville Dragons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hoover is headed into this one coming off a big win against nationally ranked St. Francis (Hoover was ranked 21st at the time). The Buccaneers took down the Knights 72-58 on Friday. The Buccaneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Collierville ended up a good deal behind Kell on Friday and lost 80-65. The game marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Hoover, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Collierville, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.
