Softball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverview can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mercy Marlins by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 32-8-2. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14-1 record this season.

Riverview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mercy, they will challenge Airport on Tuesday. The Jets' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Marlins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
