Softball Recap: Madison-Grant's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Madison-Grant was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Marion last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Argylls fell just short of the Greenfield-Central Cougars by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Argylls were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Johnna Hiatt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Grace Wood was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madison-Grant fell to 2-1. As for Greenfield-Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison-Grant will face off against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenfield-Central, they will square off against Westfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
