Football Recap: St. Charles North Beats Carmel for Their Fourth Straight Win + How To Watch

St. Charles North had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Carmel Corsairs 26-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the North Stars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2016.

When it comes to explaining why Carmel lost on Saturday, don't look at Trae Taylor. Despite the final result, he rushed for 128 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and also threw for 196 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jorden Moore, who rushed for 114 yards on only 13 carries.

The win (which was St. Charles North's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for Carmel, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
