Basketball Recap: Afton's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Afton needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Aiden Victor. The Afton Eagles came out on top against the Commerce Tigers by a score of 67-56 on Tuesday thanks in part to Victor, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.8 points per game.

Afton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Commerce, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Afton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-24 victory against Oaks-Mission on the 12th. Commerce will take on Colcord in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th.
