Volleyball Recap: Scott County Comes Up Short

Scott County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs, falling 3-0. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Scott County ultimately came up short, they really made Paul Laurence Dunbar work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-23.

Scott County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Scott County will square off against East Jessamine at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, they will challenge Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
