Basketball Recap: Ray Comes Up Short

If Ray was riding high fresh off their 59-16 takedown of San Miguel last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ray Bearcats fell 31-20 to the San Manuel Miners on Wednesday. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 31-30.

Ray's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for San Manuel, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ray will welcome Hayden at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Manuel, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Superior at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Manuel is facing Superior at the right time seeing as Superior is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
