Recap: Casa Roble Rams vs. Soquel Knights
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Casa Roble Rams, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of the Knights. Casa Roble's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Campbell, who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 196 yards and a touchdown.
Soquel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Grauel tebong, who rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Grauel tebong was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards. Soquel also got a significant boost from Tyreis Lundy, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 127 yards.
Casa Roble's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2. As for Soquel, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Casa Roble does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Soquel will face off against Jurupa Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Jurupa Hills will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
