Baseball Recap: Clear Lake Has No Trouble Against Tomball Memorial

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Lake). They put the hurt on the Tomball Memorial Wildcats with a sharp 11-3 win on Friday.

Mason Palmer looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Micah Morin was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Berry, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Clear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Tomball Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Clear Lake will square off against King at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tomball Memorial, they are taking a road trip to square off against Summer Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
