Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Takes a Loss

Bakersfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Scots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Monday.

Bakersfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Dunlap, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was Dunlap's first of the season.

Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Highland, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

While Bakersfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
