Baseball Recap: St. Elizabeth's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but St. Elizabeth ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Dixon Bulldogs 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since April 30, 2024.

Gavin Williams was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Cooper Kemna also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The win was the seventh in a row for St. Elizabeth, bringing their record up to 7-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.4 runs. As for Dixon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

St. Elizabeth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Hickman on the 17th. Dixon has also already played their next match (against Iberia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
