Football Game Preview: West Bend West Spartans vs. Slinger Owls + Official Tickets

West Bend West is 0-10 against Slinger since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Owls at 7:00 p.m. West Bend West's defense has only allowed 11.9 points per game this season, so Slinger's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, West Bend West came up short against Homestead and fell 27-20. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Highlanders are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Slinger, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They breezed past Cedarburg to the tune of 41-0 on Friday. Considering the Owls have won three matchups by more than 36 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Bend West's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Slinger, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-2.

West Bend West ended up a good deal behind Slinger when the teams last played back in September, losing 28-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Owls' Colton Schluter, who threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.
