Basketball Recap: Chamblee Takes a Loss

The Chamblee Bulldogs didn't have quite enough to beat the Mount Vernon Mustangs on Saturday and fell 49-46.

Despite the loss, Chamblee still got an impressive performance from Ryan McCord, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points and three steals. McCord is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Octavius Gresham, who posted 11 points.

Chamblee's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Chamblee will be playing in front of their home fans against Discovery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount Vernon, they will take on Berkmar at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
