Football Game Preview: Turlock Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Trojans + Official Tickets

The Turlock Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Turlock was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Modesto on Friday. The Bulldogs breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 41-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulldogs just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against St. Mary's on Friday and fell 54-41. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Rams are ranked 53rd).

Turlock will have to contain Julian Perez as he made an impact in Lincoln's last game. He threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns. Perez has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Kyle Munoz helped Perez out on the ground, rushing for 63 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Turlock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Turlock against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in November of 2016, as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. In that game, the Bulldogs amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
