Volleyball Game Preview: South Point Red Raiders vs. Hickory Red Tornadoes

The South Point Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Hickory Red Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with South Point sitting on three straight wins and Hickory on seven.

On Tuesday, South Point got the win against Parkwood by a conclusive 3-0.

Meanwhile, Hickory made easy work of North Lincoln on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Hickory might've won, it sure wasn't easy: North Lincoln scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Hickory's win came from a few key players South Point will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Piper Jillings, who had 16 assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last four times she's played.

South Point's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Hickory, their victory bumped their record up to 30-4.
