Olympia has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sumner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:15 p.m. Sumner took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Olympia, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Olympia earned a 3-1 win over Spanaway Lake.

The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Sumner came up short against Graham-Kapowsin on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sumner was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-20.

Olympia will have to contain Kassidi Lelli as she made an impact in Sumner's last game. She had 12 digs and two assists. Casi Wicklander also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Olympia's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Sumner, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Olympia hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5.9 blocks per game. It's a different story for Sumner, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 blocks. Given Olympia's sizable advantage in that area, the Spartans will need to find a way to close that gap.

Olympia took their win against Sumner when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
