Volleyball Recap: Jenkins Victorious

Jenkins posted their closest victory since August 12th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Long County Blue Tide 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Jenkins had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Heaven Arkwright paced Jenkins' offense, picking up four kills. Arkwright got some help from Emily Carter and her eight assists.

Jenkins' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Long County, they dropped their record down to 11-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Jenkins and Long County will both be playing Southeast Bulloch the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Blue Tide will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
