Volleyball Recap: Purvis Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Purvis can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sumrall Bobcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Purvis sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13.

Purvis' defeat dropped their record down to 32-7. As for Sumrall, their victory was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-5.

Purvis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sumrall, they will square off against Lafayette at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
