Volleyball Preview: Luther Knights vs. Aquinas Blugolds
Luther is 1-7 against Aquinas since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Blugolds. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Luther comes in on three and Aquinas on five.
Luther is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Richland Center with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Luther was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.
Aquinas won the last time they faced Viroqua and Aubrey Coyne did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blugolds walked away with a 3-1 win over the Blackhawks on Saturday with plenty of help from Coyne, who had 18 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Luther better focus on containing Norah Poellinger and Sammy Davis as the pair were huge in Aquinas' win. Poellinger had nine digs and two aces, while Davis had 16 kills, 14 digs, and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Davis a new career-high in assists (two).
Luther's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Aquinas, their victory bumped their record up to 16-14.
