Volleyball Recap: Culver Community's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Culver Community's win against Caston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Comets on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Cavaliers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Ashlynn Berndt paced Culver Community's offense, picking up five kills. Berndt got some help from Sophie Grossman-Norris and her eight assists. Finally, Grossman-Norris was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Culver Community's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Caston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Culver Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Glenn on the 13th. As for Caston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Bremen on the 13th.
