Basketball Game Preview: Crane Cranes vs. Stanton Buffaloes

The Crane Cranes will take on the Stanton Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Crane, who comes in off a win.

Crane took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ozona by a score of 56-47. That nine point margin sets a new team best for the Cranes this season.

Meanwhile, Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Coahoma, falling 50-28. The Buffaloes were down 50-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Stanton's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Crane, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Crane came up short against Stanton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 53-43. Can Crane avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
