Basketball Recap: Lindhurst Comes Up Short

Lindhurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-20 loss at the hands of the Nevada Union Miners. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1210th, while the Miners are ranked 337th).

When it comes to explaining why Lindhurst lost, don't look at Xavier Magana. Despite the final result, he posted nine points. That's the most points Magana has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Keith Scroggins, who put up five points.

Lindhurst's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Nevada Union, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lindhurst didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-51 loss against East Nicolaus on the 6th. As for Nevada Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-36 win against Trinity Christian on the 6th.
