Football Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. De Anza Dons

The Vallejo Redhawks will take on the De Anza Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Vallejo's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against El Cerrito on Friday. They were outmatched by the Gauchos and fell 56-0. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Redhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, De Anza came up short against Salesian College Preparatory on Saturday, falling 38-13. The contest marked the Dons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Vallejo will have to keep a close watch on Jason Miles and Paul Yumang, a pair of players who had a big impact on De Anza's prior game. Miles picked up 93 receiving yards and one score, while Yumang gained 106 total yards.

Vallejo's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for De Anza, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.
