Volleyball Recap: Lloyd Memorial Comes Up Short

Lloyd Memorial came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Conner Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-4, 25-16.

Conner found their leader in sophomore Alexis Kampsen, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Kampsen. Payton Michels also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Lloyd Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Conner, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.

Coming up, Lloyd Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Walton-Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Conner, they will take on Tates Creek in a tournament on Friday.
