Basketball Recap: More Falls to Priory in First Game of Season + How To Watch

More unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Priory Panthers 79-43 on Monday. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-24.

More lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Conrad Schaper, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Schaper, who posted seven points.

Priory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mate Palotai led the charge by going 8-for-12 en route to 18 points and five steals. Palotai's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jai Gerrodette, who had 13 points along with six steals and five assists.

More wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-30 win against East Palo Alto Academy on the 25th. As for Priory, they have also already played their next game, a 103-42 victory against South Fork on the 4th.
